What are the potential benefits of CBD?
CBD is taking the health and wellness industry by storm and is now used as an active ingredient in a wide range of products, from oils to capsules to creams. Everywhere you turn there is another new CBD product or new retailer selling products containing CBD.
Research has shown potential benefits from CBD.
If you search ‘CBD oil’ online you will get over 170 million results. This shows that the market for CBD products is exploding.
But, is it a scam? NO!…CBD IS NOT A SCAM!
CBD and its benefits are being studied closely by the medical community, with validation beginning to occur. In 2018, after extensive human trials, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory panel unanimously recommended approval of a CBD medication to treat seizures related to two rare forms of childhood epilepsy.
In 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a 27 page report that included the following statements:
CBD has been demonstrated as an effective treatment of epilepsy in several clinical trials…There is also preliminary evidence that CBD may be a useful treatment for a number of other medical conditions….Anxiety, Pain, Depression, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Psychosis, Cancer, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, Cardiovascular Disease and Complications from Diabetes.
In addition, the WHO report found:
CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile. To date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.
All CBD products are not the same
As a potential consumer and user of CBD products, you should be extremely diligent in researching CBD products and brands. Due to limited regulation, not all CBD products are equal.
And from a 2018 article in WebMD…a study…found that nearly 7 of 10 CBD products didn’t contain the amount of marijuana extract (CBD) promised on the label. Nearly 43 percent of the products contained too little CBD, while about 26 percent contained too much.
