What are the potential benefits of CBD?

Although, the benefits of CBD have been known for decades, if not centuries, the healthcare industry is now in the process of conducting the proper clinical trials and research to confirm any of the potential health benefits of CBD.

Research has shown potential benefits from CBD administered to dementia patients.

The most respected health and wellness organizations in the world are conducting this research, some of which has already resulted in the first FDA-Approved CDB based medicine for epileptic seizures.

The National Institute of Health released a publication on potential CBD benefits, interactions and clinical trials in progress. Included in these trials was a positive indication of CBD treatment for the symptomatic relief of cancer pain and/or the management of neuropathic pain in adults with MS.
This publication also stated that there are ….” several possible additional targets for cannabinoid…” These included the following list.
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Parkinson’s and Huntingon’s diseases
• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
• Stroke
• Cancer
• Drug dependence
• Glaucoma
• Osteoporosis
• Sepsis

Please keep in mind, while there is plenty of optimism surrounding CBD much of this is currently unproven with only anecdotal evidence.

Currently, the medical and healthcare community is working to determine the effects of CBD on a wide range of conditions and, with the FDA epilepsy drug approval only one example, the results are promising.
